Sandy Walsh is an actress singer and broadcaster with many years experience in television theatre and radio. She starred as the matriarch Francis Marsden in Emmerdale for over a year, Barbara in the iconic series Peep Show and Mrs Lyons and Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers in the West End

Her collaboration with writers and musicians has resulted in four one woman shows which have received critical acclaim both in London and Edinburgh. One of them received a coveted Fringe First and the others five star reviews.

Sandy has performed in many radio plays and is a familiar voice over on countless commercials as well as narrations for TV and radio.

She is a well known voice to millions of people throughout the world as a presenter on the BBC World Service. Her interviewees have included Baroness Barbara Castle, Terry Whaite, John Banville, and Benjamin Zefaniah. She co presented the first interactive programme on the World Service the Sony award winning Newstalk.
